Problem Title:
Foundation HDL Editor: Compiling an ABEL file as a stand-alone CPLD design.

Problem Description:
To compile an XABEL file as a stand-alone CPLD design, you
must tell the compiler that the design is a chip, rather than
macro (part of a larger schematic). This will cause the
compiler to generate a top-level PLD file with the pin
information necessary to compile it as a stand-alone design.

Solution 1:

In the HDL Editor, select Synthesis->Options. In the dialog
box, make sure that the Compile option is set to Chip.

Select Synthesis->Compile to create a top-level PLUSASM
(.PLD) file.
