SPROMS: HW-112: What is the HW-112 programmer support for 1700L?
Record #1119
Product Family: Hardware SPROMS: HW-112: What is the HW-112 programmer support for 1700L? Problem Description: Urgency: Standard General Description: The HW-112 may be used to program 1718L and 1736L PROMs, but it does not support programming of 17128L and 17256L PROMs. Implications: No .DSF files will be distributed for these devices. The HW-112 hardware does not verify at 3 volts due to hardware limitations. Note that no new L products will be supported in the future by the HW-112. Solution 1: To program a 17128L or 17256L part, you *must* use an HW130 programmer or other 3rd party programmer that supports these parts. The corresponding algorithms have a .ALG extension instead of the .DSF extension used for HW-112 algorithms. Customers who only have an HW-112, but who need to program a 128L or 256L, should contact their sales representative about getting an upgrade to an HW-130.
