Problem Title:
NEC VersaGlide Mouse driver causes Flow Engine to crash (Fatal exception at 0D)
Problem Description:
The NEC VersaGlide Mouse that comes with NEC Versa laptops is know to
sometimes cause Flow Engine to crash (a blue screen in Windows pops up
that says "Fatal Exception at 0D". This has been seen specifically on
Win95 systems.
Solution 1:
Try de-installing the driver, and allow Windows to choose the driver
automatically. If this doesn't work, you may need to use a different mouse
and/or obtain a newer driver from NEC.
Alternatively, try using the standard PS2 driver instead when you go into
"Add New Hardware".
The only known caveat with this is you cannot tap on the pad to emulate
mouse clicks.
Solution 2:
This error has also been reported to occur on an AcerNote Light Laptop running win95 along with a Sy
naptics touchpad.
De-installing the driver for the touchpad and installing instead a PC Accessories serial mouse resol
ved the problem.
