Flow Engine 6.0.1: DOS 16m error - protected mode requires VCPI within virtual 8086
Problem Description:
When running translate from the flow engine you may get the
following error :
DOS16m error : protected mode requires VCPI within virtual 8086
This error can occur when the PC has the Novell Network VLM
drivers installed. When the drivers are not installed then the
xact tools work fine. This occurs if you are running a version
of the xact tools which are not compatible with Novell Networks.
Solution 1:
Check that there is only one version of the xact tools being
referenced in the network login scripts. Network drives can
be mapped to point to different direectories. If you have more
than one version of the xact tools, then check that the
version you are pointing to is compatible with the network.
