patch for Flex/LM errors with xsimmake/check in Workview Office 7.2 (Error 8034)
Problem Description:
Check.exe and/or vsm_ngui.exe may give an error like this:
vsec: Error 8034: Could not perform Flex/LM checkout.
+vsec: Error 8031: Flex/LM Error: Invalid date; feature has expired.
This is seen within XSimmake, but not when check or vsm_ngui are run from DOS.
Solution 1:
A patch is available on the Xilinx FTP site:
ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/viewlogic/wvosim.zip .
Copy the two DLL files to the C:\WVOFFICE directory.
This is for Workview Office in Windows 95/NT only, with the XACTstep 6.0.1
tools. This is not for use with Xilinx M1.
This does not fix the similar error 8037. If you have a network license
(you do not have a hardware key on your PC), this patch will not solve this
problem. Viewlogic is looking into this problem.
