Problem Title:
Design Manager : Cannot find data file "xc9500.bos" in the XACT path.
Problem Description:
Upon entering Design Manager when targeting a 9500 design the
following error may appear:
Cannot find data file "xc9500.bos" in the XACT path.
Solution 1:
Is the correct software installed?
In order to target a 9500 part using the XACTStep Design
Manager, the XACT-CPLD software (DS560) must be installed. If
it is a stand-alone ABEL design, the XABEL-CPLD software
(DS571) may also be used to implement the design. XACTStep
v5.2.1/6.0.1 will NOT allow you to target a 9500 part.
Install XACT-CPLD or XABEL-CPLD before targeting a 9500 device.
Solution 2:
Is the XACT variable set correctly?
Check the autoexec.bat file for the line that contains :
Set XACT=<path_to_xact9000>;<other_paths>
Be sure that this environment variable points to the location
where the XACT-CPLD directory (by default c:\XACT9000) is
located.
Solution 3:
This error may also occur when changing your XACT environment
to use the XACT 5.2.1/6.0.1 software after having previously
targeted an XC9500 device with the XACT-CPLD software. The
Design Manager tries to load up the last project used, and if
that is an XC9500 project, but the XACT environment is now
pointing to the non-XC9500 area, you'll get this error. If
this is the case, this error may be ignored.
