Problem Title:

**Obsolete Solution**: Programmers: HW-130: PROLINK/HW-120: Manufacturer and product code / product i.d. errors on 7300 devices

Problem Description:

Urgency: Standard

General Description:

HW-130, PROLINK/HW-120: Manufacturer and product code / product i.d.
errors on 7300 devices

The HW-120 and HW-130 programmers may issue Manufacturer I.D. and
Product I.D. errors on 7300 devices.

Solution 1:

If the failure is consistent over many devices, look for bent
pins and shorts on the adapter.

Solution 2:

On the HW-120, this may also be due to use of an outdated algorithm.

There have been at least 3 die revisions for the 7K and 1700/D
parts, and the HW-120 only supported the first two.

If an outdated algorithm is the problem, the customer should contact
his/her distributor or sales rep to get upgraded to an HW-130.

The HW-120 is no longer supported.
