XCHECKER SOFTWARE: What is the difference between xck88.exe and xchecker.exe?
Problem Description:
Xck88.exe and xchecker.exe both allow you to download a bitstream
to your device but what is the difference between the two xchecker
executables?
Solution 1:
Both executables have the same functionality however the
xchecker.exe uses the 386|DOS-Extender 4.1 produced by
Phar Lap Software, Inc. While this improves the performance
of the software, this also limits it to newer processors
(386 and newer). The xck88.exe program is included with the
XACT software to be run on older (8088 and 286) processors.
