Problems with Back-Annotation of Designs Containing Single CLB Replication Groups which are Not Eliminated by MAP

Record #1777

Problem Title:
Problems with Back-Annotation of Designs Containing Single CLB Replication Groups which are Not Eliminated by MAP

Problem Description:
Problems with Back-Annotation of Designs
Containing Single CLB Replication Groups which are
Not Eliminated by MAP
Platform(s): All
Architecture(s): All
Design Step(s): MAP
Reference Number: 13586

Solution 1:

MAP performs logic replication before pack and merge. Because of this, a mapped design may contain r eplication groups composed of only a single CLB. If the design's NGM file is used for back-annotatio n, signals internal to these single-CLB replication groups will not correspond to signals in the inp ut design for back-annotation. There is no workaround.
