Product Part: XABEL-CPLD

Product Version: 6.1.2

Problem Title:

** XABEL-CPLD: "Done: failed with exit code: 0003" when running Fitter

Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When compiling ABEL code through XABEL-CPLD, you may encounter
the following error message:

Starting: 'D:\XABEL6\syndos -pause -env @xact9k.env hitop -f >trigger.xtf
-s -l automake.err -o trigger'

Done: failed with exit code: 0003.
Set 'Observe and Pause' under the Options, Environment menu.
Then re-run the process for more information.

Solution 1:

This can happen if you use Abel language keywords as signal
or symbolic state names in your Abel code. Refer to the
XABEL-CPLD ABEL-HDL Language Syntax section of the online Help
which lists all the reserved keywords. Avoid using these
keywords as signal or symbolic state names.

Solution 2:

Make sure that you have installed the latest patches for
XABEL-CPLD. The patches are fitterpc.zip and eztag_pc.zip and
are currently available on the Xilinx FTP site:

(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/cpld/fitterpc.zipInternet Link)

(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/cpld/eztag_pc.zipInternet Link)
