General Description:
A UART design is available on the Xilinx ftp site as part of a
RS-232 interface application note.
Solution 1:
There is an example of a UART being used in an RS-232
interface on the Xilinx ftp site that is based on pre-Unified
Libraries.
It can be found at:
ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/applications/misc/rs-232.zip
The zip archive includes a number of zip files containing the
application note (located in the app_note.ps.zip archive, as
well as Viewlogic and postscript format schematics that may
be helpful as general guidelines. Please note, however, that
the design has not been verified and should not be used as a
drop-in solution.
