What is the absolute junction temperature Tj for plastic and ceramic parts?
Solution 1:
The spec for Tj - Junction Temperature is shown for most
of the Xilinx families under Absolute Maximum Ratings
sections of the Xilinx Data Book. (example: page 4-81 of
the 96 Data Book shows Tj for the XC4000E). This value
should be consistent for all Xilinx device families.
Note: Xilinx can not guarantee timing specs at this
temperature as these are absolute max ratings. Operation
for extended times at these temperatures could result in
design failure or damage to the part. For reliable operation
the part should be run in its specified operating temperature
range for Comercial, Industrial, or Military grades.
