Record #2034

Product Family: Software

Product Line: M1 Graphical/General

Product Part: Flow Engine

Product Version: 6.0.1

Problem Title:
Flow Engine 6.0.1: xnfprep error 7804: CST file doesn't exist

Problem Description:
Key Words: xnfprep, error, 7804, cst, exist

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
Windows 95 allows you to create file names greater than 8 characters.
The XACTstep 6.0.1 tools will only recognize files, directories,
and directory path names that conform to the "8-character.3-character"
standard. If a constraints file, or its directory, or directory
path name does not follow the 8.3 naming convention, the flow engine
will give xnfprep error 7804.

Solution 1:

If only the constraints file violates the 8.3 naming convention then
rename it to follow the 8.3 convention.

If the directory or directory path name violates the 8.3 naming
convention, then rename the directory or move the constraint file
to a location that follows the 8.3 naming conventions.
