HW-130/XC95216: Product code errors
A new revision of XC95216 parts may give "Product Code Error"
when users attempt to program them. This is because the
latest lot of devices have a new product code that is not
currently supported by the 95216 algorithm shipped in v4.00 of
the HW130 software.
Solution 1:
From your web browser, navigate to:
ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/programmer
Download the appropriate version of the software (there
are versions for DOS, 32-bit Windows, 16-bit Windows, HP7,
Solaris, and Sun4 platforms), and extract it into your hw130
directory.
In general, "product code" errors indicate that the
product code that identifies a particular revision of
a device (usually reflecting a technology change) is not
supported by the programming algorithm you are using. If
this is the case, an updated algorithm is needed.
