Foundation Express: Edit Constraints option greyed out; cannot access Constraints GUI
Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard
The Constraints GUI in Foundation Express is not available with Demo, Base or
University Student licenses. It is only available for Standard or University
Professor licenses.
This spreadsheet is accessed by first hilighting an Implementation or
Optimization in the Chips window. Then select Synthesis -> Edit Constraints or
right click and choose Edit Constraints (Implementation) or View Results
(Optimization).
If this option is greyed out, there are two possible causes:
Solution 1:
If you have a Standard or University Professor license, then this feature has
not been added to your license. (Xilinx Solution 3480) describes the ways to
access this license feature.
Solution 2:
If you have a Demo, Base or University Student license, this spreadsheet is not
available to you. The only way to access this GUI is to update the license.
