Design Manager M1.3/M1.4/M1.5: Configuration Template does not contain option for creating
MASK file
Problem Description:
URGENCY: Standard
LONG DESCRIPTION:
The Configuration Tab under the Configuration Template
from the Design Manager does not include an option to
create a MASK file. A mask file is required to perform a
microprocessor based verification of the FPGA configuration.
Solution 1:
CUSTOMIZE TEMPLATE:
From the Design Manager menu, select Utilities->Template Manager.
In the Template Manager:
Select - Configuration Templates
Select - <Family Type>
Select - Customize
In the Customize dialog:
For Program Name enter - bitgen
For Program Options enter - -m
Click - Set
Click - OK
In the Options dialog, make sure that the Configuration template
that you customized is selected. When the configuration step is run,
the -m option will be passed to the bitgen command and the mask
file will be created in the revisions directory.
Solution 2:
COMMAND LINE:
Run bitgen with the -m option. The mask file will be created
in the same directory.
