M1 - All GUIs (except EPIC) will core dump on HP 9.05 systems at a certain patch level.
Problem Description:
All M1 GUIs (except EPIC) are known to crash (core dump) on
start up when run on HP-UX 9.05 machine that are upgraded to
the latest HP-UX patch level.
The crash is due to an HP-UX bug introduced by HP patches
PHSS_8253 and PHSS_10167.
Solution 1:
This problem can be avoided by running HP-UX 9.05 at a patch
revision level prior to patches PHSS_8253 and PHSS_10167.
This pproblem can also be avoided by using HP-UX 9.07
or 10.X systems.
