Which of the 4KXL/XLA/Spartan/SpartanXL BG256 packages have the 4x4 Ground Ball matrix in the
middle of the package?
Solution 1:
The ground ball are "extra grounds" and
they are connected to other ground pins.
Solution 2:
Only the 4028XL/XLA BG256 has the 4x4 Ground Ball Matrix. The Ground Ball Matrix is mostly for power
dissipation.
The 4010XL/XLA, 4013XL/XLA, 4020XL/XLA, XCS30/XL and the XCS40/XL in the BG256 do NOT have the 4x4 G
round Ball Matrix.
