Design Manager 1.5i/2.1i: WS ONLY - Selecting browse button hangs the DM, Flow Engine
doesn't appear but is running
Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard
General Description:
Selecting the Browse button within the "Open Project" or
"New Project" dialog on a Workstation results in the
Design Manger hanging (or taking an extremely long time
to refresh itself)
Solution 1:
The reason the tool hangs is still under investigation.
WORKAROUND:
1. Shut down (kill - 9 <process_id>) the Design Manger
2. Set the following environment variable:
setenv XIL_GUI_USEMOTIFFILEDLG 1
This variable instructs DM to invoke a Motif-style
browse dialog box instead of the standard Windows-style
dialog.
