Problem Title:
floating license: While running M1.x dialup networking is evoked several times

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

General Description:
Customer is running M1.x software with floating license. While M1.x is running, dialup networking is
evoked several times even M1.x is running on the license server machine. Customer wants to know why
.

Solution 1:

This is because the default network card is the modem card. Therefore whenever any M1 'client' appli cation that is licensed (e.g. in M1.4 map, par, bitgen, trce, promgen, epic are licensed) needs to c heckout a license, the computer will attempt to dial up the network even though it may be a license server itself.

The workaround is to reconfigure the computer, such that the modem is no longer the default network card. Please contact your network administrator for this. Otherwise, the dialups must be tolerated.
