General Description:

The HQ240 and smaller packages have a heatsink on the bottom of the part that when mounted will face the pc board. Some customers are worried that the heat sink will
touch the signal traces on the board and short them together.


Solution 1:

On the HQ240 and smaller packages the heatsink on the bottom of the die is insulated. Because of this there is no need for an external patch to achieve
insulation, therefore the exposed heatsink will not short traces on the
pc board.
