Problem Description:

General Description:

Configuring an FPGA from the Hardware Debugger with the Parallel Cable III (JTAG cable) fails either
  with the message: "Done pin doesn't go High" or by reporting that "The Device is configured" but th
e FPGA doesn't function.

This is because the PROG pin on Parallel cable III a.k.a. JTAG cable is held low after downloading t hus forcing the device back to configuration mode.



Solution 1:

A workaround was to leave the Flying Lead Labelled PROG unconnected from the target device.

This problem has now been fixed in the software and a
patch is available at:
