A1.4 - Problems reading Answers Book from Dynatext viewer
Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard
General Description: Upon installing A1.4 and attempting to
view the Xilinx Answers book stating known issues with the
release, no books are seen and an error message may be seen
stating:
BwinList: FAILURE reading collection 'Answers'
Solution 1:
To be able to access the Answers books, they must have been
installed from the Xilinx Implementation Tools CD. On this CD
they are located in the userware/utilities directory.
The other problem is that the initialization file containing
the paths to the documentation is incorrect. To fix this, you
may edit the initialization file as follows:
For Win95/NT users
------------------
Open the $XILINX/bin/nt/dynatext.ini file in a text editor and edit the following lines:
Old:
COLLECTION=$XILINX\userware\utilities=Answers
COLLECTION=$XILINX_CD\userware\utilities=Answers on CD
New:
COLLECTION=$XILINX\userware\utilities\answers=Answers
COLLECTION=$XILINX_CD\userware\utilities\answers=Answers on CD
For UNIX users

Open the $EBTRC file which is usually located at, $XILINX/bin/<platform>/ebtrc, in a text editor and
change the following lines:
Old:
COLLECTION $XILINX/userware/utilities=Answers
COLLECTION $XILINX_CD/userware/utilities=Answers on CD
New:
COLLECTION $XILINX/userware/utilities/answers=Answers
COLLECTION $XILINX_CD/userware/utilities/answers=Answers on CD
