Can V1.5 be installed over the V1.4 release?
Solution 1:
At least one problem seen in the 1.4 version of COREGEN
can only be fixed by installing the 1.5 release as a
fresh install:
- COREGEN starts up with both a GUI and a DOS box.
Therefore it is recommended that users always do a "clean"
install of V1.5 on their systems. This means that you should either install the V1.5 release in a s
eparate location
from any previous releases. If you wish to install in an
pre-existing COREGEN directory, you must uninstall the
pre-existing version of COREGEN first.
Multiple versions of COREGEN canbe installed on the same
machine, but you should not install one version *over*
another.
Solution 2:
Another problem that has been seen when V1.5 is installed over
V1.4 is that the AllianceCORE folder and the PCI cores in the
LogiCORE folder will show up twice in the main COREGEN GUI.
