Product Part: Coregen

Product Version: c1_5

Problem Title:
V1.4, V1.5 COREGEN, VIEWLOGIC, FOUNDATION: symbols generated by COREGen do not match those shown in the datasheets for the core.

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

General Description:
V1.4, V1.5 COREGEN, VIEWLOGIC:	Viewlogic symbols generated by
COREGen do not match those shown in the datasheets for the
core. You may notice the following:

1. The datasheet may depict a symbol consisting of
a MUX and a register, for example, whereas the actual
symbol generated is simply a rectangular box with pins ]
attached to it.

2. The pin order on the symbol may not match the order of the
pins shown in the datasheet symbol graphic.

Solution 1:

The symbols in the datasheets are automatically generated using
generic 3rd party tools from Viewlogic and Aldec, and the
generation of more complex symbols is not supported by either
tool. These tools also provide no control over pin order.

The symbols depicted in the COREGen datasheets should only be
used as an aid to understanding the functionality of the
core.
