General Description:
Clicking Timing Sim to invoke timing simulation in Foundation F1.4
Project Manager may give the following error:
Netlist fatal error was detected.
Would you like to browse netlist.log for detail?
Netlist.log has the following error:
EDIF netlist 'h:\path\to\time_sim.edn' loading
v.2.99.1.10
EDIF parser completed successfully
Error 9523: Incorrect EDIF file. Cannot find top level netlist data.
Error 9432: Netlist fatal error was detected
Solution 1:
For F1.4 the workaround is to use an XNF backannotated timing
simulation netlist instead of EDIF. This option may be chosen in the
Implementation Template in the Design Manager Options dialog under
the Interface tab.
This problem is fixed in F1.5.
