Record #4457

Product Family: Documentation

Product Line: LogiCore

Product Part: PCI User's Guide

Product Version: 2.0

Problem Title:
LogiCORE PCI32 4000/Spartan: Timing not met due to PAR effort level set to 2 (default)

Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

General Description:

The PCI User's Guide lists the PAR command line with no -l switch.
This sets the effort level to the default of 2 and causes PAR to give
up before it meets timing for the core.

Solution 1:

The PAR command-line should include the "-l 4" switch,
which should adjust the effort level so that it succesfully
meets timing.
