GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

When running a batch file to implement a design, where the environmant variables are set within a ba tch file, the map report generated may have generated a warning similar to:

) t is not required by carry mode . The
    signal is being removed. This carry comp has been mode reduced. The original
    carry mode was INC-FG-CI.



Solution 1:


To prevent this and allow map to write out a sensible warning set the XILINX variable in the System Properties window for Win NT and the autoexec.bat for Win 95. You can still set the other environmen t variables, such as LM_LICENSE_FILE, XILINX_CD and PATH, in the batch file.
