Urgency: Standard

When trying to invoke the Design Manager GUI, the following errors/

windu_burkhard.dat
[windu_registryd] [Oct 19 10:37:10] removing pidFile: windu_reg.pid

Solution 1:

The first Warning (240) can be safely ignored, however for more
information on it, please reference (Xilinx Solution 4563)

The windu_registryd errors may be caused by not having proper
permissions on the .windu directory and the files in it.

A .windu/ directory is normally created whenever a Xilinx GUI
application is invoked for the first time. There are typically
4 files created within this directory:

windu_reg.dat (binary file)
windu_reg.log (ASCII log file)
windu_reg.pid (contains the Process ID # for windu_registryd)
windu_username.dat (binary file)

Make sure that the aforementioned files are created with proper
permissions. (i.e - check by typing "ls -l" from your unix promt)

Also, check the .pid file within the .windu directory and see if
the PID NO. corresponds to the output of the "top" command.
