General Description:
It has been noted that when customers install Windows NT Service Pack 4 on their machine the Xilinx
M1 software versions 1.4 and 1.5 may stop working. Common symptoms are NGDBUILD (Translate) errors
or merely crashing when one tries to open a file. This appears to be restricted to machines with In
ternet Explorer 4 and NT Service Pack 4. This is not a regular problem and may not happen on every
machine with this configuration.
Solution 1:
Since Window NT Service Pack 4 was released after M1 versions 1.4 and 1.5, we could not test our sof
tware with this operating system environment. Therefore, these versions of M1 do not support Servic
e Pack 4; Service Pack 3 is an acceptable tested environment.
The next full release of Xilinx M1 software (v2.1i) will support Windows NT Service Pack 4.
