Is a bit stream generated for JTAG configuration the same as a bit stream for other
configuration modes such as select map or master serial?
Solution 1:
No, they are not the same. A bitsream created for a Virtex device that is to be
configured via JTAG must be generated with at least one special option:
bitgen -g startupclk:jtagclk designName.ncd
This bitsream will not work when used for any other configuration mode. To use
a mode other than JTAG, you will need to regenerate the bit stream.
