Product Family: Software 2.1i 4KX* MAP - FATAL_ERROR:x4ema:x4emamerge.c:3535:1.43 - Pin 8 already in use. moveflopinpin() for CLB: [3793] Process will terminate. Problem Description: Urgency: HOT General Description: A design which maps, places routes and configures fine in M1.4, fails with a fa tal error in MAP 1.5. The full error is: FATAL_ERROR:x4ema:x4emamerge.c:3535:1.43 - Pin 8 already in use. moveflopinpin() for CLB: [3793] Process will terminate. Please call Xilinx support. Solution 1: This problem involves a pin swapping bug involving CLB flops. It occurs when two flops driven by GND (or logic that optimizes to GND) are packed into a CLB and merged with other logic. It can be difficult to identify the problem flops, but if identified, the problem can be prev ented by using XBLKNM properties to ensure that the flops are not merged with other logic: INST "HDR_INSERT/REG_SYS_OUT_DATA/$1I3/$1I2/$1I15" XBLKNM = ABC; INST "HDR_INSERT/REG_SYS_OUT_DATA/$1I3/$1I2/$1I14" XBLKNM = ABC; This problem is scheduled to be fixed in the next major release (as yet unnamed) which is currently scheduled for April, 2000.
