F1.5 FOUNDATION Simulator: "Simul :MACRO: illegal macro format - line is too long"

Record #5047

Product Family: Software

Product Line: Aldec

Product Part: Foundation Logic Simulator

Problem Title:
F1.5 FOUNDATION Simulator: "Simul :MACRO: illegal macro format - line is too long"

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

General Description:
When loading a Foundation simulation command file, you
may see the following error:

Simul :MACRO: illegal macro format - line is too long
Simul :MACRO: Unknown signal or pin name: DDA_OUT - ignored
Simul :MACRO: Unknown signal or pin name: DA_OUT1 - ignored

Solution 1:

One source of this problem has been invalid syntax in the Script
file in a VECTOR definition, which Foundation apparently defines
to be a Macro, although the meaning of the message may not be
immediately apparent.

The error will usually be issued immediately after the
problem definition has been read in by the simulator, so
you must pay attention to the informational message logged
immediately before this error.

Correct the syntax error to get rid of this error message.
