LogiCORE PCI: Guide does not work if M/S_SRC_EN signals are unused

Record #5055

Product Family: Documentation

Product Line: PCI Apps

Product Part: PCI Design Solutions

Problem Title:
LogiCORE PCI: Guide does not work if M/S_SRC_EN signals are unused

Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

General Description:
Guide does not work if the M_SRC_EN and S_SRC_EN signals are unused.

Solution 1:

If the user application is very simple (i.e. - no burst), then
it does not require use of the M_SRC_EN and S_SRC_EN signals
from the core. However, if BOTH of the signals are not used,
then MAP will trim the logic which will affect the guiding of
one of the critical signals

The workaround is to "save" either M_SRC_EN or S_SRC_EN.

Note: This is not valid for PCI designs for Virtex running at 33 MHz
as guide files are not used.
