GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
FPGA Express 3.0 introduced a schematic viewer tool called Vista.
The F1.5i Service Pack 1 update includes FPGA Express 3.1, which
includes this schematic viewer tool. To install this Service Pack, please
see (Xilinx Solution 5604) .
No menu pick for the schematic viewer exists within the Foundation
tools. How does one access this schematic viewer?
Solution 1:
Open the standalone FPGA Express tool by selecting
Programs -> Xilinx Foundation Series -> Accessories -> Foundation Express
Open the Foundation Express project by navigating to the Foundation
project, descending into the directory of the same name, and selecting
the <project>.exp file.
Example: C:\fndtn\active\projects\myproj\myproj\myproj.exp
To open Vista, select a version in the Chips window and select
Synthesis -> View Schematic. A local (right mouse button) menu item
is also available.
If this option is greyed out, then your license does not include the
Vista feature. Consult (Xilinx Solution 6080) to upgrade your license.
