General Description:
When synthesis is attempted on a vhdl or verilog file the following error
appears in the Project Manager console:
Pcm: Cannot initialize automation: could not get interfaces to Synopsys server
Solution 1:
This can happen if the user did not have administrative priviledges when the
software was installed, and therefore the registry was not updated properly.
Check to see if the registry has Xilinx entries. If not, the user may not have
administrative rights on that machine.
Check the XILINX environment variable to make sure it exists and is valid.
One indicator is to try to change the system clock.
If the user does not have administrative rights, an administrator needs to
uninstall and reinstall the software to create the relevant registry and
environment settings.
