Problem Title:
F1.5i 9500XL: Functional Simulation and Timing Simulation work but the outputs are not
working correctly.
Problem Description:
Urgency: HOT
General Description: An issue has been discovered with the jedec file
generation of the 9500XL devices. The symptoms appear only when the design is
downloaded to the part. The functional and timing simulation work correctly as this is
a modification that is made in the jedec file generation.
Solution 1:
If a customer design has grounded outputs or incorrect behavior on some of the outputs,
but the functional and timing simulation in F1.5i is working correctly they should try installing
the following patch on top of the Service Pack 2, the sequence needed is shown below.
1. 1.5i CD Tool installation
2. Service Pack 2
3. Patch update for Service Pack 2
Please note: Service Pack 2 should be installed before this
update patch. The Service Pack 2 can be installed directly on top
of Service Pack 1 or directly on top of 1.5i. You can get this Service
Pack by going to http://www.xilinx.com/support/software.htm
and then clicking on the 1.5i Service pack 2 icon in the left hand column.
