M1.5i: Lab Install of Hardware Debugger, Jtag Programmer, Prom File Formatter: Tools don't
start
Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard
General Description: When trying to invoke the tools (Hardware Debugger,
Jtag Programmer, or Prom File Formatter) an hour glass appears
which disappears a few seconds later, and the tools do not start.
Solution 1:
The F1.5i install program has check boxes for the following
in the install setup, which are not checked by default (Win 95, NT in parantheses):
Set/ Update XILINX in autoexec.bat (Registry)
Set/ Update XILINX_CD in autoexec.bat (Registry)
Set/ Update path in autoexec.bat (Registry)
F1.5i Lab Install does not set path or Xilinx Variables by default when
installing only the download tools. Most customers click ok without
looking at or checking these boxes. Be sure to check these boxes
and reboot your computer after installation.
