hangs upon starting.....
Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard
General Description:
Either selecting the "Browse" dialog within the New Project
dialog hangs the Design Manager, or running FE causes
the tool to hang.
Solution 1:
This is an issue with the Bristol Tools (used to
port GUI's onto the Workstation Platforms).
Workarounds:
----------------------
1) If the automounter is running for /home (i.e., on Solaris
if there's an auto.home map) and if the map for /home
contains a wild card entry, then this problem can arise.
Check out your auto.home map file. If a "*" appears at the end
of this file, get rid of it. Save, then reattempt the steps
above.
OR
2) Create a dummy "desktop.ini" file in your
home directory (i.e - home/john/desktop.ini).
Reopen DM and attempt the above steps once
again.
