Record #6495

Product Family: Software

Product Line: M1 Graphical/General

Product Part: Design Manager

Product Version: 1.5is2

Problem Title:
Design Manager/Flow Engine M1.5i: ERROR:hi1 - No design name specified. Use "hitop -f design.ngd

Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

ERROR:hi1 - No design name specified. Use "hitop -f design.ngd

After looking at FE.log file, the ngd file is written correctly however
the the hitop command line has the suffix of the input file (.ngd) and
output file removed:

hitop -d mem_ctl_0513_1 -s -l mem_ctl_0513_1.log -o mem_ctl_0513_1

Solution 1:

Exit the Design Manager and restart the application. Now
try to implement once again.

*************
A possible scenario that brought on this error is if a
Browse dialog was use to set the current directory
to whichever directory was chosen in this dialog.

When attempting to run Htop, snce the current
directory was not the revision directory, the .NGD
file was not found, and so it was not added to the
Htop command line. This is why Htop failed with
the specified error message. (It was not due to
the fact that there was no ngd extension shown
on the hitop command line; there never is a ngd
extension shown there.)

After you close up the DM and reopen it, the current
directory gets reset to the revision directory.

This problem has been fixed in the 2.1i release.
