Problem Title:
map 1.5iS2/4062xl: FATAL_ERROR:baste:bastecmpin.c:314:1.27.18.2 - NULL pinhook

Problem Description:
A case has been seen that fails with the map error:

FATAL_ERROR:baste:bastecmpin.c:314:1.27.18.2 - NULL pinhook detected for pin 11 on comp BER/BER_ANALYSIS/INPUT_CONTROL/CLOCK_CONTROL/$1I178/$1N20. Process
will terminate. Please call Xilinx support.

Solution 1:

This error is known to occur when flops that are chained together (one drives the other) are packed into the same CLB. The error can be avoided by assigning a unique BLKNM attribute to each flop in th e chain which ensures that they are all packed into different CLBs. BLKNM attributes can be assigned
  to flop instances using the .ucf file:

    INST "flop_name" BLKNM=XYZ ;

The problem is fixed in version 2.1i which is set to begin shipping in late June.
