2.1i JTAG Programmer - Chain initialization does not work for FPGA's with IDCODE
Record #6643
Product Family: Software Urgency: HOT General Description: When using the chain initialization for FPGA devices that have an IDCODE, the part is not correctly identified. Solution 1: This is fixed with the latest service pack available at: http://support.xilinx.com/support/techsup/sw_updates/ Solution 2: The workaround is to select "Add device" under the edit menu in JTAGProgrammer for each device in the chain. Double clicking on the device icon will let the user select between bit file, bsdl file, or jedec file. Once the chain is created the user can select "Save" which will create a .cdf file (chain description file) that can be pulled up in future usage with the JTAGProgrammer and saves the chain being used.
