Problem Description:
Foundation F1.5i with Service Pack 2 installed:
Starting the Functional Simulator may results in
warnings when loading the netlist as for example:
Loading - MACRO1
Loading library default timing values
Warning 9204: Cannot find corresponding block
pin for terminal Q15. Terminal will be changed to label
Warning 9204: Cannot find corresponding block pin for
terminal Q14. Terminal will be changed to label
Warning 9204: Cannot find corresponding block pin for
terminal Q13. Terminal will be changed to label
This maybe incorrect in the following case:
This macro consists of a primitive (CC16CE).
The output buspin Q[15:0] is connected to a bus named
Q[15:0]. This bus is CONNECTED with another bus named
Q[12:0]. The bus Q[12:0] is connected to a bus output terminal,
the bus Q[15:0] is not connected to any terminal.
Therefore the signals Q15, Q14 and Q13 are not connected to
a terminal, the above warnings are misleading or incorrect.
Solution 1:
The warnings are the result of the bus Q[15:0] and bus Q[12:0]
being connected via a bus connection. If the bus association
is done via bus naming the warnings do not occur. The physical
connection is the problem.
To resolve this warning draw the bus Q[15:0] and label it using
a bus label. Then draw the bus Q[12:0] and label it using a
bus terminal.
