2.1i NGDAnno: NGDAnno leaves BlockRAM's inputs unconnected if they are driven by more than one power/ground or constant signals.

Record #6665

Product Family: Software

Product Line: FPGA Implementation

Product Part: NGDAnno

Product Version: 2.1i

Problem Title:

2.1i NGDAnno: NGDAnno leaves BlockRAM's inputs unconnected if they are driven by more than one power/ground or constant signals.

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

Problem Description:

If a BlockRAM is driven by more than one power (or ground) signal, or
more than one signal that simplifies to a constant during mapping, then
NGDAnno run with the NGM file may leave one or more of those inputs that were
tied to that power/ground net or the constant net unconnected in the simulation model. This will likely result in X's appearing at the BlockRAM outputs

Solution 1:

The workaround is not use ngm file when running NGDAnno.
