COREGEN: What state will SOUTR and SOUTF be in if the SDA FIR is generated in non-cascadeable mode?

Record #6732

Product Family: Software

Product Line: LogiCore

Product Part: Coregen IP Modules

Problem Title:
COREGEN: What state will SOUTR and SOUTF be in if the SDA FIR is generated in
non-cascadeable mode?

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

General Description:
What state will SOUTR and SOUTF be in if the CORE Generator SDA FIR filter is
generated in non-cascadeable mode?

Solution 1:

SOUTR and SOUTF should be left open circuit when not cascading.

Although not explicitly stated in the datasheet for this core, the states of the cascade mode signals SOUTR and SOUTF are unspecified and not
guaranteed when the module is generated without activating the "Generate
Cascadeable Section" option.
