What is the security option and how is it selected?
Solution 1:
The security option on the 1800 devices is an option that, when turned
on, will prohibit the bitstream from being read back from the PROM
via JTAG. The device can, however, be erased and reprogrammed with a
new bitstream.
The security option can be set after programming the PROM using the JTAG
programmer, HW-130, or other third party programmers.
