Record #7167

Product Family: Software

Product Line: Merged Core

Product Part: FPGA Editor

Product Version: 2.1i

Problem Title:
FPGAEditor 2.1i - BlockRAM initialization values are not stored after saving changes

Problem Description:
Urgency: HOT

When editing a placed Block RAM component for a Virtex design,
it should be possible to apply initial values to the Block RAM by
clicking on the "Show/Hide Attributes" button and editing the
various fields. Applying these changes to the initial values should
be as simple as clicking on the "Saves Changes and Closes
Window" button. This is not the case. After saving changes and
closing, FPGA Editor generates the following warning,

WARNING:FPGAEditor:41 - The "Init00" attribute item is not used
by BLOCK RAM type components.

Furthermore, selecting the Block RAM and clicking on the ATTRIB
button followed by the CONFIGURATION tab reveals that no
changes to the initial values have been saved by FPGA Editor.

Solution 1:

This is suppose to be fixed in a future release of the software.
