Problem Title:

2.1i JTAG Programmer - operation INITIALIZE CHAIN gives incorrect device name

Problem Description:

Urgency: Standard

General Description: When using the JTAGProgrammer GUI option
"Initialize Chain" it reads the devices incorrectly.

Solution 1:

2.1i JTAGProgrammer gives incorrect device names occassionally
when doing an file -> "initialize chain" operation.

This is fixed in the most recent Service Pack:

Solution 2:

Workaround:

Currently, a .cdf (chain description file) can be created.
Select the option "Add Device"
under the Edit menu. Select the appropriate jedec/bit file or
bsdl file (for third party devices) by double clicking on the
device icon and browsing for the file. Once the chain has been
setup you can save the chain description by going to file ->
"save" or "save as" (to specify a file .cdf other than the default)
that can then be used later without resetting the chain of devices.
