General Description: Will PHDL designs be supported?
Solution 1:
The release of XPLA Professional available on the Xilinx website still
supports PHDL (formerly Philips Hardware Description Language). PHDL
is a sub-set of ABEL and ABEL is supported in WebPACK, therefore
PHDL designs should be able to compile in WebPACK without
modification.
In the very near future, an application note will be available
detailing how to target CoolRunner CPLDs using Xilinx WebPACK for
ABEL designs.
