General Description: The fitter is giving me an error that indicates that
I have exceeded the maximum number of clocks.
How do I work around this?
Solution 1:
Here are some steps to review to best optimize clock resources:
1. If the design has initially targeted an original architecture XPLA1, try
targeting an enhanced clock device.
2. Review the design to ensure that the design has been implemented
in as synchronous a fashion as possible. Use global high speed clocks
in conjunction with clock enables to reduce the dependency on individual
clock resources.
3. If the design is a ?conversion? from a .tdo or other low level compilation,
ensure that counters have not been implemented asynchronously (as in
the case of ripple counters).
